King’s Cup-World Cup Grand Prix

January 19,2010

Drake announces the target of King’s Cup-World Cup Grand Prix and thanks all the support.

Thailand- Parikhet Suebsahakarn (Drake), Event Director of PTT-White Sand Beach Jet Ski King’s Cup- World Cup Grand Prix, announced that the grand event in December 2009 impressed everybody which includes the big group of international audience, the media, the teams, Pattaya City and all the sponsoring and supporting parties.

“The event has proved to be one of the greatest pride in my feeling. I have been working on this project for 14 years, and everybody involved in the Jet Ski development around the world knows that we have to go through such hardship and many difficulties and obstacles in order to set the target and make it come true.”

The 2009 competition welcomed new friends from five continents in the world who joined in making the event a world history. During the warm trophy presentation ceremony, they had a friendly chat to make new friends and exchange racing experience. Impressive is to see that many people still remained in the ballroom even more than an hour after the last prize was given. The event created a big impression since the beginning all through the end. Everybody showed and felt the power of true friendship that they all have for one another.

No, it is not easy for Jet Ski to reach the same level of popularity as other kinds of sports. But I think this is not beyond our ability and power. You have proved that you have the ability to impress tourists and audience who didn’t know you in person so much that they cheered and gave you a big hand. That’s because you brought them fun and excitement of the game. And now I’m sure they have become your fans!

My future target is to develop and increase the racing standards in all aspects, and to increase the audience number. These will be done through local and international media in Thailand and around the world. I strongly believe that your victory is not for just a thousand spectators at the race site, but it should be enjoyed by millions who share the interest in the game. To conclude, I’d like to say big ‘THANK YOU’ to everybody and emphasize that I will work hard with IJSBA to develop Jet Ski to become one of the world’s successful sports industry.

Thank you, everybody
Parikhet (Drake)
