2010 X Scream Daytona Freeride was a huge success

The IJSBA is pleased to present this press release we received from Mike Young on behalf of the Daytona Freeride. Every comment we have heard about this event has just been totally positive. Gongratulations to all involved on such a great thing for the sport and the community. IJSBA was honored to participate and sanction this event.
Good people, good surf and good times are what The 2010 XSCREAM DAYTONA BEACH FREERIDE is all about. January may not seem like the perfect time to suit up for a jet ski event, but in spite of the freeride being in the middle of winter it has become the largest freeride of it's kind in the world. We are attracting riders from all over the world including big names like Rick Roy, Taylor Curtis, Ant Burgess, Chris MacCluggage, Johnny “Suicide” Havell, Cuong Son and many more top riders. This event bring riders together like no other event in our sport.
The pure stoke that people get from being able to hit up the surf with the top guys in the world can not be matched. This year we added a Moto-Surf exhibition that brought a whole new facet to the ride. Seeing Macc and Farthing battling it out in the surf was awesome. I think was a highlight to a lot of the people who came. The freeride zone was 4000ft this year providing an area that is unmatched in years past. Riders felt a lot more open and riders were able to perform tricks in a much safer environment.

Congrats to Chris Macc and Ant Burgess for going big during the “Hydro Turf” Sickest Trick Contest. Both won $450 cash to take home. Great job guys.
I just want to take a minute to thanks all who came out and supported the ride this year. Everyone was super cool and the vibe was amazing. I hope to see you all next year!!!!
