IJSBA Sacramento Event to be Postponed
January 24,2010
As many of you know, the IJSBA has been working on an event to take place in Northern California. This event is slated to be a special short track event with frequent eliminations which would culminate into a final series of motos with 4 Runabouts or 6 Skis on the line. The Sunday portion of the event would be the Slalom Nationals.
For the purposes of giving more than six months notice for a new event, and not to conflict with other tours, the IJSBA has decided to postpone the event to 2011. However, we will be working to stil hold a smaller scale introductory event later this year for the purposes of the getting participant input on this new type of racing.
The IJSBA is discussing options, and still taking offers, for hosting the Slalom Nationals in 2010 with a preference for the West Coast.
Below is a release from Upstate Watercraft Promotions which is handling the 2011 event. For more information about 2010, please contact the IJSBA by emailing info@ijsba.com or by calling +1-(650)-796-8676. Office hours are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, PST. Other hours available by appointment.
UWP-IJSBA National Tour
ROCHESTER, New York (January 22, 2010) – After intense negotiations with a prospective host city in California, UWP regrets that there is not enough time to coordinate a national tour race for the 2010 race season. UWP along with IJSBA managing director, Scott Frazier will continue to work towards a non-tour race for fall 2010. This race would be used as a gauge for 2011 national tour and bring the tour back to the west coast.
